Under the macro trend of globalised economy and frequent movement of goods, infringement of intellectual property (IP) is increasingly common. Irrespective of the role it is playing in the sales chain, be it production, sales or distribution, a business will suffer loss in encountering IP infringement. SMEs should therefore have a good grasp of how to handle IP infringement, and familiarise themselves with the procedures to protect their IP. This seminar has invited expert to illustrate the importance of IP and the use of mediation as a preferred mean to handle IP infringement cases commonly encountered in exhibitions.
